Traveling is always my passion. Few months ago, in my readings in Facebook, I accidentally got into a group - "Tourism & Hospitality Industry" which was created by Hospitality & Tourism Management Undergraduate of Sri Lanka Sabaragamuwa University.
Sending her a friend request and getting her into a chat, It took months for us to grow the friendship and even at the Sinhala & Hindu New Year Season, she was one of the best who promoted me in Crying competition. LoLz!
The late night chats, calls made the bond stronger and she was quite nice and #wanderlust. That mutual desire to travel made us to plan a tour.
As you know, everything should have a easy start. In case of interpersonal relationships, it has to be strong and the same time, easy. There we planned to visit Ella Village and Ella - Little Adam's Peak.
21st May - Vesak Full Moon Poya Day - was the day. 5.15 am I received a call and woke up. That was her call to wake me up. (yes I am a pretty good sleeper. lol) Againg sleeping till 6.30, I travelled from my boarding place to Badulla and then got in to a Bandarawela Bus.
When I got down from Kumbalwela Junction she was there and she had traveled from her boarding place to Kumbalwela and also had waited for an hour for a bus (oh poor girl. :P). Then together we got on a bus to Ella junction. (You can take any bus goes in Ella-Wellawaya highway and get down from Ella junction)
From Ella junction it was about 2 Kilometers walk to the starting point and then a hike-climb. We had no option but to travel on foot.
Till 11.45 am, we traveled through each and every cliff at Little Adam's Peak and that was our first time traveled everywhere in Ella peak (even I was there once in my university freshmen year). Eating the sandwiches she brought, we then traveled back to the Ella junction.
The day wasn't end at that point. As we had time, we then decided to go and see "Ravana Falls". Getting on a bus to Wellawaya, we got down from Ravana Falls stop and watching Ravana Falls, we had a chocolate ice cream. (mmm yummyyy :P :P)
As we had more time, we both then decided to go "Demodara Nine Arch Bridge". The journey was a tired one as our legs were done at the time. Taking a live selfie video (haha, that's me) we traveled to Nine Arch and fortunately a villager was traveling with us showing us the shortest route.
Having fun at Nine Arch, Nisha's phone's battery was dead and no more quality photos could be taken but from my one the selfies. Then from Nine Arch Bridge to Ella Railway - we walked through the Rail-way. That walk was unforgettable as it was the longest I ever walked on a rail. (lol)
Now see what happened. We could have directly traveled from Ella to Nine Arch instead we have taken the longest ever route. LMAO!
Waiting for a bus at Kumbalwela Junction, I got her a bus to her place and then I traveled back to Badulla. Having dinner at Badulla town, traveled to boarding place and went to sleep calling her to check whether she was safely home.
Trust me, she was the best partner in crime and the best travel companion. Above all, she is a good friend. A friendship which never fails and only a few could understand. Many of my university friends questioned me about the girl thinking I am having and affair and many more talks where they are wondering about the companion. I just said, she is a friend. She is one of the best friends. And may be the craziest I would say!!!
Thank you Nisha for making that day to maximum!!!
