Cancer Awareness Program for Uva Wellassa University Students

For the breast cancer awareness month - October, on 22nd of October 2015, The Rotary Club of Badulla jointly with the organizing assistance with Rotaract Club of Badulla organized a breast cancer awareness program - a lecture for Uva Wellassa University undergraduates. The program was succeeded with the resource person the Rotary has invited in and the young team of Rotaractors was there with the backup.
Around 250 students participated for the event and was a full success as the most of them are girls.
As per the resource person, the disease is not only be affected by females, but also the males in few numbers. Also he had stated that the early diagnosis of the disease has a probability to get rid of the disease and the interactive session had led the students to gather more knowledge along with the small booklet they were given.
Vinindu Dayananda - The President and Tharushi Malshani - The Secretary of Rotaract Club of Badulla had their maximum organizing the event with the collaboration of the Young Rotaract Team.
